AP has been reading Tim O'Brien's book, The Things They Carried. As part of studying the novel, students were asked to choose one of the soldiers in the field the night that Kiowa dies and write a condolence letter from that soldier to Kiowa's family. Showcased below is the condolence letter written by Rose and an additional excerpt she was inspired to continue writing.
If you would like to earn some extra credit, you may write a brief review of ASC's production of Hamlet at TPAC. The review must go beyond a simple like or dislike of the play. Think depth, understanding, and emotions. What scenes were most or least enjoyable or moving? What characters or scenes were relatable? Was anything difficult to comprehend? Would you recommend others to see this production? Why or why not?
Please submit the extra credit via email. I will post it to this blog after it has been read and reviewed. This extra credit assignment is worth 10 points on the quiz, test, or paper of your choosing during this 9 weeks period. The review must be submitted by 11:59pm Friday, February 27th. The following assignments are expected to be completed by the due date listed regardless of inclement weather affecting school.
